Thanks to Heifer International, an equipment lending
program for poultry growers is a reality in Whatcom County. We have available a Featherman Plucker and Scalder,
broiler and turkey cones, transport crates and (soon) a portable, stainless steel table
available, to anyone who needs equipment to process their poultry. To use
the equipment, you will need to join the Whatcom Pastured Poultry Group (a one
time registration fee of $5 is required). A fee of $10 / 24 hour period is
all the equipment costs to use. For more information, or to get a
