2009 Winners: Harvesting Agriculture's Aesthetics
Many thanks to all of our local photographers who participated in the 2009 juried photo exhibit. 35 photographers submitted a total of 146 outstanding images for this new feature of the Farming for Life! exhibit. The photo exhibit will continue on display at the Lynden Pioneer Museum through September 25th, 2009.
All photos that were included in the exhibit have been assembled in a small paperback (6"x8") coffee table book, cover pictured at the left. You may view the images by browsing the online book. The book is available for purchase through the publishing company for the cost of printing. This book is not a fundraiser for Farm Friends. Farm Friends also extends our gratitude to our jurors, Cal Bratt of the Lynden Tribune, and Randy and Kathy Fleming of Fleming Photography Studio. Our skilled jurors spent upwards to 8 hours studying the photos, creating 11 categories, and narrowing down first, second, and third place winners in the categories.
In addition to the juror awards, we asked fairgoers to vote on their favorite image as they perused the exhibit. Below are listed the top pick for each day of the Fair.
