Celebrate spring by purchasing low cost native plants, seedlings, and shrubs at Whatcom Conservation District’s Annual Plant Sale and Expo!  This year the WCD is partnering with Whatcom Community College and the Community Food Co-op. The sale will include several local nursery vendors and many local environmental organizations and will focus on low impact development and include a variety of fun, earth-friendly educational opportunities. All purchases, other than pre-orders, will be on a first-come, first-serve basis on March 20th, from 9am-4pm.  The sale will be held at the 237 W. Kellogg Rd. at the Roe Studio on the campus of Whatcom Community College.

The purpose of the WCD’s annual plant sale is to promote the stewardship and conservation of our natural resources.  Planting native trees and shrubs can provide many positive benefits to your property and the natural environment such as improved water quality, enhanced fish and wildlife habitat, reduction of wind and soil erosion, cleaner air, reduction of energy costs, and beautification of your property!  Additionally, proceeds from the plant sale support the WCD’s conservation education programs.
